Position Description:
Business account managers are responsible for managing the relationship of existing customers, overseeing the base book of business, and growing the business over time. Servicing multiple accounts concurrently is an important aspect of the position, so the ability to multitask is essential. The ideal candidate can deliver exceptional customer service on a day-to-day basis, and manage priorities according to both Modine and customer needs.
To excel in this role you should have exceptional communication, computer, and problem-solving skills. You should be resourceful, analytical, adaptable, and organized with the ability to build rapport with customers.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage business with existing customers
  • Serve as the primary commercial contact and build long-term relationships with existing customers
  • Develop new business with existing customers and identify opportunities to increase share of wallet
  • Prepare, submit, and negotiate quotations for new programs, and for updates to existing business
  • Maintain entire book of business and ensure profitability levels meet or exceed company targets
  • Work with internal teams as the “Voice of Customer” to resolve all customer account management matters
  • Facilitate internal reviews of customer contracts to determine optimal position for Modine, and negotiate final terms with customer
  • Serve as primary voice of Modine at all levels of the account, and proactively manage forecast metrics and expectations to support Sales, Operations, and Business planning
Stay on top of rapidly evolving industry trends
  • Follow the latest industry developments and stay up-to-date on competitors
  • Have a strong understanding of Modine products, competition in the market, and positioning
  • Understand customer’s product needs and give feedback to Modine design team for emerging technologies
  • Attend conferences and industry events

Required Qualifications:
  • Five years proven track record in business sales or related market; OEM Key Account experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills, with emphasis on priorities and goal setting
  • Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty
  • Technical skills required to understand and propose products or solutions by focusing on client requirements
  • Ability to communicate information, whether technical or non-technical to staff members and customers, in a clear and concise manner
  • Superior presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and statistical analysis software

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science, Marketing, or related field; Engineering is preferred
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration desired

Travel:
  • 20-30% anticipated domestic travel to support customer development and targeted growth objectives
